My initial post is my declaration of decency. I will do my best to keep an open mind and utilize my most personable and appropriate language. I often find myself to be overtly passionate and lose my sensibilities because of it. I have a hard time understanding and respecting the political positions and opinions of privileged people and sometimes find it necessary to ground them with a reality check. I will do my best to refrain from that typical behavior.
there I've said it.

The url address grabbed my attention. And from the url address, title and opening statement, to the “Posting Etiquette” at the bottom you know exactly what this blog is about.
There are a lot of things I like about this blog. And can I say up front it is not quite fair to be “competing with someone who works in IT. The aesthetics are great. I love the format, colors, and the addition of pictures (which I quite haven’t figured out myself.) And “shiny, flashy, things” are sometimes used to distract the reader from the lack of content. However that is not the case. I like Garrett’s opinionated writing style. He is clear, concise and well thought out, and he properly cites references.
I don’t think we should be required to write a paragraph on weaknesses or recommendations if you can’t think of anything to recommend. Maybe you could add some additional video? However the lack of such doesn’t detract in any way from the current content, and it is still early in the semester.
Overall the blog is remarkably done, and is my favorite thus far. The blog postings show research and thought. Matter of fact I believe I will “drink the kool-aid” and become one of his “My Minions.”
